Finished removing the rain deflector from above the nearside windows. Removed the second window, this will require some more complex fabrication than the first but looks repairable.
Reconstruction is becoming clearer now – waist rail panels first, then windows and finally lower panels when the frame has been repaired.
Finished painting “AEC” rear axle hub badges. Continued removing the rain deflector from above the windows, one or two stubborn screws still to be removed. Most just pull out. Removed some of the timber framing where joints were loose – photo survey below shows state of it before repair and hopefully what goes where.
Finished painting the repaired rear O/S window with primer. The crack repair treatment has arrived so I’ll be having a look at repairing the corner crack soon. The photo sequence below shows the repair at various stages and completion with new metal welded in and painted.
