The last few days have been spent building and refining the first replacement window frame. This is now largely complete and just requires tidying up some of the welding when a new bottle of gas has been acquired. Much has been learnt in this process and the next window pan will hopefully take much less time to make.
Yesterday I completed the two bottom corners for the first window frame . The second (right-hand corner) is better than the left but both will be acceptable with a little adjustment. Applied second coat of topcoat to inside face of fairing.
Made the bottom horizontal for the first window frame today and welded the corners to it. Cut the channel section stock to length in preparation for welding to the frame tomorrow.
