Removed the damaged road wheel stud from the offside rear hub – had to heat the lock nut to undo it but it came off easily after that. Used the arc welder to rebuild the sections damaged when the nut was cut off and then cut a new thread, all good now.
Before repair
Now the hub is on the axle it is virtually impossible to tell which is the repaired stud.
