Continued cleaning the roof, more than half had been cleaned by the end of the week. This is a slow but necessary process if work is to continue at some point. Further illness interrupted this process but I managed to fit the glass into the emergency door frame and started to fit the hinges but ran out of screws. I also started cleaning the inside of the bus and the seat frames. I also fitted two of the steel plates to the rear seat back and trimmed the third to fit. The final act of the week was to collect the remaining seat backs from Ifor.

Started the week by priming the outer side of the steel plates for the rear seat-back then giving them a coat of brown. They are now ready for fitting to the seat back. Since then other problems have kept me away from work on the bus, plus the need for dust removal continues. I did manage to start fitting the plates to the rear seat back, it entailed some trimming of the fabric and restapling but not a major problem, though I could have done it a better way. No more work now until my chest problem is resolved.

Started the week by stripping the second steel panel for the rear seat back. However, the dust produced caused me a major chest problem, despite the fact I was using a dust mask so I had to stop. Luckily I needed to go and collect the emergency door glass from Dunmow Glass so I had a chance for a break. When I returned I set about providing an air supply for my pressurised hood mask, which proved to be very effective despite a leak from the the compressor water drain that required attention. However the second and third steel panels now have a coat of primer on the inside face. Whilst waiting for these to dry, I welded the channel to the vertical of the cab window; this however proved unsuccesful as the welds were unable to penetrate the channel. Worked stop then in favour of a deep clean of the shed and adjoining workshop.
