Continued working on the front bulkhead today, removing paint from the small window frame and elsewhere. There is some slight corrosion evident on the frame, as it is only minor I treated it with a bit of Jenolite to loosen it up and will remove it tomorrow.
I managed to get some brown gloss paint to match floor made up at Ridgeons.
Applied second coat of gloss black to the lower step finisher.
Spent some time tidying the shed in the area where I’ve been working on the steps. Before they can be finished, I need to reattach the cladding where the handrails fit so I can see how the lino and nosings need to fit. This means I need to finish the front bulkhead repair so I have been finishing the filler off and removing paint from around the small front bulkhead window with a view to painting it all in one go with red oxide. If I can get the rubber glazing gasket away from the metal with string and mask it properly, I may spray the whole of the bulk head.
Also today I fitted the wood finisher for the bottom step, filled the screws and the then cut ends then painted it black. Second coat probably tomorrow late morning.
